What is La Suite Numérique?

| La Suite Numérique is a set of collaborative tools that meet the essential needs of public sector employees.

These tools, developed using open-source software, are deployed on secure infrastructures. They help optimize the management of professionals’ daily tasks while facilitating collaboration between public entities and with the companies they work with.

For example, during the Paris Olympic Games, the National Cybersecurity Agency of France (ANSSI) created a Tchap channel to communicate securely about cyberattacks with high-risk public and private stakeholders.

Assemble Custom Tools with a Single Login

User organizations can assemble custom toolsets in a workspace tailored to their specific business needs. LA SUITE NUMÉRIQUE

Among the tools available are:

Tchap (secure instant messaging),
France Transfert (large file sharing),
Grist (collaborative spreadsheet and database management tool),
Docs (for personal or collaborative documents),
Visio (videoconferencing tool),
Email (electronic mail service).

All these tools are accessible via ProConnect, a service available to all professionals, whether in the public or private sector—such as government agencies, schools, and research institutes.

ProConnect is the tool that connects professionals to government services. It is developed by the Interministerial Directorate for Digital Affairs (DINUM).

Who can use ProConnect?

Anyone in the public or private sector who wishes to use their professional identity to access a government website or service is eligible to use ProConnect.
Your account is personal and linked to your professional email address.
You can represent one or several organizations with a single account. || In short: you just need a professional email address and to belong to an organization or company with a SIRET number to use ProConnect!

How does it work?

Click the ProConnect button on the website or service you want to access.
Enter your professional email address.
Follow the instructions!

Introduction

The beta version of our application is currently under development. The production infrastructure has been deployed, and this document describes its final architecture.

Technology

Our application is based on WebRTC technology to enable real-time audio and video communication. We use LiveKit as the main platform for stream management.

Protocols

Media streams, in order of resolution priority:

UDP: the main protocol for fast and efficient data transmission.
Unsecured TCP: used when network restrictions prevent the use of UDP.
TURN/UDP: relaying through a TURN server using UDP.
TURN/TLS (less recommended): secure relay via TLS, used if other options fail. Signaling is handled via WebSockets for bidirectional communication between the client and the server.
